The Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority (OMPA) has selected ClimateMaster as its preferred equipment provider.
May 24, 2010, Oklahoma City, OK- The Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority (OMPA) announced today that it is initiating the “Oklahoma Comfort Program” to promote the installation of ground source heat pumps and has selected ClimateMaster as its preferred equipment provider.
The Oklahoma Comfort Program utilizes funds from the Stimulus State Energy Program (SSEP), as administered by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, to provide a rebate of up to $1,000 per ton for qualifying ClimateMaster Geothermal Heat Pump installations. This will be in addition to the $800 per ton “WISE” rebate currently offered by participating OMPA members. This provides customers who are served by OMPA members, with the opportunity to purchase ClimateMaster equipment and receive a rebate of $1,800 per ton in addition to the federal 30% tax credit.
“As the primary participating geothermal equipment partner for the Oklahoma Comfort Program, we are looking forward to assisting with this program that will provide environmentally clean, economically sound and superbly comfortable home environments,” said Dan Ellis, President of ClimateMaster, Inc.
An important requirement for receiving these rebate funds is that the system installer must hold both IGSHPA and ClimateMaster installer certifications. To help with this process, OMPA and ClimateMaster will be offering contractors IGSHPA and ClimateMaster Service and Install certification trainings throughout the year at the ClimateMaster manufacturing facility.
The training schedule for the IGSPHA accredited classes is available on www.climatemaster.com. For more information on the Oklahoma Comfort Program visit the Oklahoma Municipality Power Authority at www.opma.com.
